SEED & LEAD PRGOGRAM

The Seed & Lead Program will support educators who use the schoolyard to provide context and relevance for integrated STEM learning; as well as increase their capacity to involve students in investigating natural phenomena, explore evidence, solve authentic problems, and make a difference in the real world.

Our goal is to impact over 18,000 students and families through Seed & Lead.  School yard garden programs that endure year over year, and that become part of the instructional culture of a school are successful because they are “owned” by the whole school community. Engaging appropriate stakeholders at the school early in developing a “sustainability plan” and documenting that plan will help everyone take a role and will create the institutional memory of the garden program. Our educators and program orgainizors will have access to partners and services throughout the program.
